Technical Overview

One DNS change.
Everything else is us.

WebTranslate uses a Translation Delivery Network (TDN) — a global proxy layer that translates your website in real-time without touching your existing infrastructure. No plugins, no code changes, no dependencies.

How the proxy works

From browser request to translated page — in under 10ms after first cache.

The Process

Three steps to a global website.

No developer needed. No downtime. No risk. Just a DNS change and you're live in every language.

01

Point your domain

Add a single CNAME record in your DNS settings pointing to WebTranslate's edge network. Takes 60 seconds. No access to your website, server, or codebase required.

Works with any registrar — GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Route53, Namecheap, or your host.

02

We translate everything

Our AI detects and translates all content in real-time — text, buttons, forms, meta tags, URLs, image alt text. Context-aware. Nothing missed.

Powered by LLMs fine-tuned for translation accuracy, not generic AI.

03

Go live globally

Your visitors automatically see the site in their language. Pages are SEO-indexed, lightning-fast from our edge cache, and always in sync with your content.

Translated URLs, hreflang tags, and sitemaps generated automatically.

Under the hood

Translation Delivery Network

WebTranslate operates a global TDN (Translation Delivery Network) — a proxy layer that sits between your visitors and your origin server. Requests to translated language URLs are routed through our network, translated, and served back. Your origin server sees normal traffic.

Edge Caching

Translated pages are cached at the edge globally. Once a page is translated, subsequent requests for that page serve from cache in under 10ms. Cache is invalidated automatically when your source content changes.

Real-time Content Detection

Our crawler monitors your pages continuously. When new content is detected — a new blog post, a product update, a changed headline — translation is triggered automatically. No manual intervention required.

Security & Privacy

We do not store visitor data. We do not use your content to train AI models. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Enterprise deployments support dedicated servers with GDPR-compliant data residency.

URL Structures

WebTranslate supports subdomain (hi.yourdomain.com), subdirectory (yourdomain.com/hi/), and custom domain (yourdomain.in) URL structures. All formats are SEO-optimized with proper hreflang tags and sitemaps.

Failover

If the WebTranslate network experiences issues, requests fall through to your origin server serving the default language. Your core site is never dependent on our uptime — we operate with a 99.9% SLA on paid plans.
