About WebTranslate

The internet has one billion
pages. Most of them exist
in only one language.

WebTranslate is an AI-powered website translation platform. Point your domain at us, and your website is available in 100+ languages — automatically, in real-time, with no changes to your codebase.

We built it because the problem deserved a better answer than plugins, JSON files, and six-month localisation projects.

What it is

Translation as a network layer.

Translation Delivery Network

WebTranslate operates a Translation Delivery Network (TDN) — a global edge network that proxies requests to your website, translates the HTML in real-time, and returns the translated page to the visitor. Your server never changes.

AI translation engine

Our translation models are fine-tuned for web content — they understand navigation, CTAs, product descriptions, and help documentation differently. Indian language models are trained specifically on Indian linguistic patterns, not derived from Western corpora.

Glossary control

Brand names, product names, regulatory terms, and locked phrases are protected by the Glossary — they are never mistranslated or modified, regardless of language.

Multilingual SEO

Translated URLs, hreflang tags, translated meta descriptions, and multilingual sitemaps are generated automatically — so your translated pages rank in local search, not just serve translated visitors.

Principles

The decisions we made and why.

01

Language is infrastructure, not a feature.

Localisation is consistently treated as a late-stage addition — bolted on after the product is built, underfunded, and deprioritised at the first budget cut. We built WebTranslate on the belief that language access is core infrastructure, as fundamental as hosting or CDN. It should be as easy to switch on.

02

Speed of deployment matters as much as quality.

The best translation in the world is worthless if it takes six months and a six-figure budget to deploy. We designed WebTranslate around a sub-two-minute setup because real adoption happens when the barrier to entry is near zero. Most of our customers are live before they finish their first cup of tea.

03

India first — then the world.

Global translation tools are built for European and North American enterprises. Indian businesses — with their 22 scheduled languages, diverse scripts, right-to-left requirements, and Tier 2/3 customer base — are an afterthought. WebTranslate was built India-first, with every Indian language as a priority, not a footnote.

04

Accuracy without opacity.

AI translation can be wrong. We know that. That's why we built the Glossary and the visual editor — so you can review, lock, and correct translations in context. We don't hide the AI behind a claim of perfection. We give you the tools to keep it accountable.

05

No code changes. Ever.

We made a deliberate architectural choice: the translation layer sits outside your website entirely. We proxy at the edge. Your codebase is untouched. This wasn't the easy path — but it means any business, on any technology, can be multilingual in minutes.

History

How we got here.

2023
Problem identified

The NeuroGen team encountered the language barrier problem repeatedly across client projects — websites built for English, markets that weren't.

Early 2024
Architecture designed

The DNS-proxying translation approach was prototyped. The core insight: translation should be a network layer, not an application layer.

Mid 2024
AI models fine-tuned

Translation models trained and fine-tuned for Indian linguistic patterns — not just translated from English, but built for the nuance of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and others.

Late 2024
First deployments

Early customers go live. Under two minutes. First real-world validation of the approach across e-commerce, SaaS, and publishing use cases.

2025
Platform launch

WebTranslate launches publicly as a standalone product under NeuroGen, with full support for 100+ languages, multilingual SEO, Glossary, and visual editor.

Now
Expanding verticals

Dedicated solutions for BFSI, government, enterprise, and publishing. Custom deployments across India and globally.
